Compensation Our local fleet is paid hourly: $26 per hour. $28.75 per hour with hazmat endorsement.
Health Insurance Employees are eligible for health, dental and vision insurance first of the month following 30 days of employment. On average, BCP pays 69% of health insurance premiums to keep employee weekly premiums as affordable as possible.
401K A 3% employer match is offered to all plan participants. Employees are eligible after 6 months of employment.
Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) BCP Transportation is 100% employee owned. Each year shares are allocated to employees who have met the eligibility requirements. The value per share is driven by the share price which is reassessed annually.
Disability Insurance Short and long-term disability coverage is offered to all employees. Short-term disability is voluntary, premiums are based on weekly income. Long-term disability is a company sponsored benefit; employees are automatically enrolled at no cost to them. Disability covers 60% of ones average weekly pre-tax earnings in the case a non-work related injury occurs.
Life Insurance Life insurance is a company sponsored benefit, employees are automatically enrolled at no cost to them. In the event of death, the benefit paid would be equal to $25,000 minus any reductions due to age restrictions as outlined in the plan.
Paid Time Off (PTO) Eligible for PTO after 6 months of employment. PTO does not expire and always rolls over from year to year. PTO days are paid at a rate of $125 per day until the employee has worked for one year. After one year of employment, the daily PTO rate is calculated as 0.3% of annual wages.
Paid Holidays Eligible for holiday pay immediately upon hire. Holiday pay is paid at a rate of $125 per day until the employee has worked for one year. After one year of employment, holiday pay is calculated as 0.3% of annual wages.

Compensation Our OTR fleet is paid on mileage: West/SW/SE miles are paid $0.50 per mile. East miles are paid $0.56 per mile. Hazmat loads are paid an additional $0.10 per mile. All drops away from the terminal are paid, ranging between $20-$50 per drop depending on the load.

Compensation Owner Operators are paid on 78% of line haul and drops and 100% fuel sur charge.

Retention Once owners have been with the company for 3 years, BCP covers the cost of their 2290. After 5 years, BCP covers the cost of owners’ plates. After 10 years with BCP, owners receive a bonus of an additional +1% of linehaul, recognizing long-term commitment.
